Kitman Associates is a management consultancy firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. Its areas of focus are financial consulting, due diligence and executive search.  
The firm is headed by Mr. Oluwole Akitunde, FCA (a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria). He began the operation of the firm in 2002 on retirement as Executive Director from a leading insurance company in Nigeria after 28 years service. He is registered as Accountant with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. Since starting Kitman Associates, 'Wole', as he is fondly called, has consulted for a leading Nigerian insurance company in Ghana, Sierra Leone and The Gambia (West Africa), and also in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya (East Africa).
Kitman Associates has held workshops on general and insurance accounting for all cadres of staff and management in the Nigerian insurance industry.
Mr. Akitunde was a member of the Accounting Standards Steering Committee of the Nigerian Accounting Standards Board - NASB (now Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria - FRCN) that drafted the Statement of Accounting Standard 16: Accounting for Insurance Business (SAS 16). It was issued in December 1997 and became operational from 1January, 1998.
